SUPPLEMENTARY HEALTH INSURANCE ABROAD
Under this insurance policy, the insurer assumes financial responsibility for risks related to the insured person's illness, accidental bodily injury, pregnancy, and childbirth. This encompasses the provision of specified medical services and goods, as well as predetermined monetary amounts, all within the bounds of the insurance coverage.
The insurance is available in two distinct options, contingent upon the territorial scope and limits of the insurance coverage:
- European Health Plan: The insurance coverage is applicable to events that transpire within the geographical boundaries of Europe.
- World Health Plan: The insurance coverage is applicable to events that occur within the geographical boundaries of all countries globally, encompassing the United States of America and Canada.
Voluntary health insurance
Voluntary health insurance provides the insured with the opportunity to utilize additional health services, both within and outside the scope of mandatory health insurance. Both individual and group health insurance contracts can be established. The insured can choose the hospital in which they will be treated. Group health insurance contracts can be established either through subscription service or through reimbursement of costs.
Through voluntary health insurance with reimbursement of costs, the insured can receive treatment at a medical facility of their choice, paying for the medical services upfront. The health insurance company will then reimburse the costs incurred.
Through voluntary health insurance with subscription service, the insured can receive treatment at medical facilities with which the health insurance company has pre-established contracts. The costs of treatment are paid directly by the health insurance company.
Coverage is provided in several packages:
- Preventive package
- Outpatient medical care
- Inpatient medical care
- Dental care
- Medical transport
