The mandatory "Motor Third Party Liability" insurance for vehicle owners and users covers the vehicle driver's liability for culpably caused property and non-property damage to third parties. This may include bodily injury or death, damage to another's property, lost profits resulting from the damage, as well as costs incurred in connection with filing the claim. It is important to note that if you are at fault for causing an accident, you are not entitled to compensation for property or non-property damage. Its territorial validity includes: the Republic of Bulgaria, Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and third countries (member states of the "Green Card" agreement). Liability limits on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria are as follows:

- For property and non-property damage resulting from bodily injury or death, the limit is up to 10,420,000 BGN for each event, regardless of the number of injured persons.
